Leera M. Briceno, MD

Dr. Briceno, a founding partner of SSDP, has been a board-certified dermatologist in Massachusetts for over 30 years. She attended the University of Massachusetts Medical School, followed by her internship and residency at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital in Brighton, Massachusetts.

Amy S. Chang, MD

Dr. Chang, a local Bridgewater Raynham High School graduate, went on to study Electrical Engineering at MIT. She earned her medical degree from Tufts University School of Medicine and completed her residency at the Boston University and Tufts University Combined Dermatology Residency Program.

John J. Croke, MD

Dr. Croke focuses on general medical dermatology, with an emphasis on early detection of skin cancers. He has been a part of our local community for over 25 years and values the long-term relationships he has with his patients. He has practiced primarily in Brockton, first as an Assistant Clinical Professor at the Boston University School of Medicine for over 15 years, while serving as Medical Director at their Brockton Satellite Clinic.

Edward Herman, MD, Ph.D.

With both an MD and Ph.D., Dr. Herman has a strong interest in the latest dermatology research and incorporating it into his patient care. Dr. Herman grew up in California and attended UCLA as an undergrad, then received his MD and Ph.D. in Immunobiology from Yale University School of Medicine. During his postgraduate studies, he researched how the immune system regulates inflammation in the skin.

Lindsay A. Eminger, MD

Board certified in both dermatology and dermatopathology, Dr. Eminger graduated summa cum laude from Georgetown University School of Medicine and received the George M. Kober Award for achieving the highest grade point average in her graduating class. Following her internship at Albert Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia, Dr. Eminger completed her dermatology residency at Cooper University Hospital in New Jersey, serving as Chief Resident.

Daniel S. Loo, MD

Dr. Loo, a board-certified dermatologist for over 20 years, brings a deep background in research, teaching, and clinical practice to caring for his patients. An accomplished teacher and researcher, Dr. Loo formerly served as the Residency Program Director at both Boston University and Tufts University Departments of Dermatology, where he spent 17 years teaching and mentoring the next generation of dermatologists.

Viraj O. Shroff-Mehta, MD

A founding partner of SSDP, Dr. Shroff-Mehta knew she wanted to be a dermatologist by the time she was in middle school. She began to work towards that dream as an undergrad and in medical school at Brown University. Dr. Shroff-Mehta completed her internship year at the Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York City and her dermatology residency at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, New York, where she served as Chief Resident in her final year.

Christine O. Urman, MD

Dr. Urman brings a rich background in teaching, research, and clinical practice to SSDP. Prior to joining the practice, she served as an Assistant Professor of Dermatology at Tufts University School of Medicine and Associate Director of the Dermatology Residency Program, as well as Director of Cosmetic Surgery at Tufts Medical Center.

Kyung Hee Chang, MD, PhD, Mohs Surgeon

Dr. Kyung Hee Chang, MD, PhD, is a board-certified dermatologist who is double-boarded and sub-specializes in dermatologic surgery. After serving the South Shore community for many years, Dr. K. Chang joined South Shore Dermatology Physicians. Her experience spans general dermatology with specific expertise in surgical dermatology and Mohs micrographic surgery for skin cancer.

Kenneth P. Gilbert, MD, Plastic Surgeon

Dr. Gilbert, a board-certified plastic surgeon, has decades of experience in his specialty. A Diplomate of the National Board of Medical Examiners and the American Board of Plastic Surgery, as well as a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, he treats SSDP patients in the practice’s office, performing procedures including excising skin cancers, moles, and cysts. 

Dr. Beatriz Tapia-Centola, M.D., Dermatopathologist

Dr. Tapia-Centola, one of our dermatopathologists, evaluates and diagnoses the biopsies performed by our dermatologists. With over 20 years of experience, she has made many contributions to the dermatopathology field, sharing her work broadly through teaching, mentoring, publications, presentations, and lectures.. Dr. Tapia-Centola is board certified in Anatomic Pathology and Dermatopathology.

Jennifer Lambe, M.D, Dermatopathologist

Dr. Lambe, one of our dermatopathologists, is dedicated to bridging clinical presentations with precise diagnoses. She completed her undergraduate studies in biochemistry at Tufts University before obtaining her medical degree from the University of Connecticut Medical Health Center. Dr. Lambe holds board certifications in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology and Dermatopathology.
