Leera M. Briceno, MD, is a graduate of Hampshire College in Amherst, MA, where she received a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1983. She attended medical school at the University of Massachusetts Medical School in Worcester from 1983 to 1987. Dr. Briceno served as a medical intern and completed one additional year as a medical resident at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital in Brighton, MA. Her dermatology fellowship training was pursued at Howard University Hospital in Washington, D.C. She has been a Board-certified dermatologist since 1992, with successful recertification in 2012.
Dr. Briceno is a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology and a member of the Massachusetts Academy of Dermatology, New England Dermatological Society, National Psoriasis Foundation, American Medical Association, and the Massachusetts Medical Society. She has been a practicing dermatologist in Massachusetts for 20 years. She has served on the staffs of some of the state’s most respected healthcare institutions, including South Shore Hospital, Brockton Hospital, Newton-Wellesley Hospital and Brigham & Women’s Hospital. She is currently affiliated with Good Samaritan Medical Center. She has a special interest in cosmetic dermatology.
