Christine Urman, MD, graduated from Boston College where she earned a Bachelor’s degree in biochemistry. A graduate of Tufts University School of Medicine, Dr. Urman completed an internship in internal medicine at Mount Auburn Hospital before entering a three-year residency in dermatology at Tufts Medical Center (Tufts MC). Board certified by the American Board of Dermatology, Dr. Urman previously served as an assistant professor of dermatology at Tufts University School of Medicine and was associate director of the dermatology residency program and director of cosmetic surgery at Tufts MC before joining SSDP.
Dr. Urman brings a rich background in teaching, research and clinical practice to her work at SSDP. During medical school and residency, she was mentored in clinical research of psoriasis medications by the internationally renowned expert, Alice Gottlieb, MD, PhD. Upon joining the Tufts MC staff, she acted as a sub investigator on over 15 clinical trials. While at SSDP, she will maintain her affiliation with Tufts MC and continue providing part-time teaching and cosmetic services there.
A member of the American Academy of Dermatology, Massachusetts Academy of Dermatology and the American Society of Dermatologic Surgeons, Dr. Urman is on the staff of the Good Samaritan Medical Center.
