Leera M. Briceno, MD

Leera M. Briceno, MD, is a graduate of Hampshire College in Amherst, MA, where she received a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1983. She attended medical school at the University of Massachusetts Medical School in Worcester from 1983 to 1987. Dr. Briceno served as a medical intern and completed one additional year as a medical resident at St. Elizabeth's Hospital in Brighton, Massachusetts. Her dermatology fellowship training was pursued at Howard University Hospital in Washington D.C. She has been a Board certified dermatologist since 1992 with successful recertification in 2001.

Dr. Briceno is a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology and a member of the Massachusetts Medical Society and the Massachusetts Academy of Dermatology. She has been a practicing dermatologist in the state of Massachusetts for the past 15 years. She has been on the staff at South South Shore Hospital, Brockton Hospital, and Caritas Good Samaritan Medical Center (CGSMC). She will continue her affiliation with CGSMC. She has a special interest in cosmetic dermatology.

Anu G. Jayaraman, MD

Anu G. Jayaraman, MD, is a graduate of the University of Florida in Gainesville, FL, where she received her Bachelor’s degree in Interdisciplinary Studies. After earning her MD degree from the University of Florida College of Medicine in 2000, Dr. Jayaraman completed a year of internship at Mount Sinai Hospital in Miami Beach, Florida, and a dermatology residency at Brown University School of Medicine in Providence, RI. She was chief resident in her final year of residency. Following residency, Dr. Jayaraman completed a fellowship in dermatopathology at Stanford University in Stanford, CA.

Dr. Jayaraman is a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology and the American Society of Dermatopathology. She also is a member of the Massachusetts Academy of Dermatology. She has been practicing general medical and surgical dermatology, and dermatopathology since 2005, and she has been on the staff of South Shore Hospital and Caritas Good Samaritan Medical Center (CGSMC). She will continue her affiliation with CGSMC. Dr. Jayaraman is Board certified in dermatology and dermatopathology.

Katalin Kovalszki, MD

Katalin Kovalszki, MD, is a graduate of the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in English. She attended medical school at the University of Michigan and served an internal medicine internship at the University of Michigan Medical Center (UMMC), where she received the “You’re Super” award for outstanding patient care. Dr. Kovalszki completed her dermatology residency at UMMC. She is a member of Phi Beta Kappa.

Dr. Kovalszki is a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology and she is on staff at Caritas Good Samaritan Medical Center.

At SSDP, Dr. Kovalszki will uphold the practice’s mission of providing excellence in the diagnosis and treatment of people with a broad array of skin illnesses and conditions. Her goal as a dermatologist is to, “effectively understand my patients' needs, to educate them about their condition in a thorough manner, and to provide them with quality and compassionate care.”

Jay M. Ritt, MD

Jay M. Ritt, MD, graduated with honors from the State University of New York at Buffalo with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology. He earned his MD degree at the State University of New York Upstate Medical College-Syracuse in 1974, and completed a year of internship and a year of residency in pediatrics at Boston City Hospital. Dr. Ritt completed his dermatology residency at Brown University where he was co-chief resident during his final year of training.

Dr. Ritt has been in clinical dermatology practice on the South Shore for more than 20 years. He offers his patients extensive experience in medical and surgical dermatology. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology and has been on the staff at South South Shore Hospital, Brockton Hospital, and Caritas Good Samaritan Medical Center (CGSMC). He will continue his affiliation with CGSMC. Dr. Ritt is Board certified in dermatology and is a member of the Massachusetts Medical Society; Massachusetts Academy of Dermatology; and the Rhode Island Dermatology Society.

Viraj Shroff-Mehta, MD

Viraj Shroff-Mehta, MD, is a graduate of Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island. There, she received her Bachelor of Science degree with honors in Psychology. She subsequently attended Brown University School of Medicine. Dr. Shroff-Mehta completed her internship year at the Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York City and did her dermatology residency at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, NY. She acted as chief resident in her final year.

Since completing her training, Dr. Shroff-Mehta has spent eight years in dermatology practice in southeastern Massachusetts. She has been on the staff at South South Shore Hospital, Brockton Hospital, and Caritas Good Samaritan Medical Center (CGSMC). She will continue her affiliation with CGSMC. She is a Board certified Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology and fulfilled her re-certification examination in 2007. She also is a member of the Massachusetts Academy of Dermatology. Her interests include all aspects of general medical dermatology.
