Daniel S. Loo, MD

Daniel S. Loo, MD, is a graduate of Haverford College, where he received a Bachelor’s degree in chemistry. Following completion of an MD degree at the State University of New York (SUNY) at Stony Brook School of Medicine, he did a one-year internship in internal medicine at the University of Rochester and a three-year residency in dermatology at the University of Michigan Medical Center.

An accomplished teacher and researcher, Dr. Loo formerly served as the Residency Program Director at both Boston University and Tufts University Departments of Dermatology, where he spent 17 years teaching and mentoring the next generation of dermatologists. He continues to maintain an academic appointment as an Associate Professor at Tufts Medical Center.

The recipient of numerous professional honors and recognitions, including Teacher of the Year Awards from the Boston University and Tufts University Departments of Dermatology, he was awarded the 2012 Presidential Citation for Contributions to the Medical Student Core Curriculum Work Group from the American Academy of Dermatology (AAD). A Fellow of the AAD and member of the New England Dermatological Society, Massachusetts Academy of Dermatology, and Association of Professors of Dermatology, Dr. Loo lectures widely and has contributed to many scholarly journals and books. A Board certified dermatologist since 1997, he is on the staff of the Good Samaritan Medical Center.
